One Piece Chapter 721: Rebecca and Soldier-san

chapter 721
This chapter begins with Rebecca explaining how Soldier-san raised her when her mother passed away. She explain to Luffy what relationships toys have with human and that toys and humans can't live together; which are questioned by a few.

As Rebecca heads out to the ring(it got fix since Luffy's match with Chinjao) she thinks about her mother, and starts remembering seeing the kingdom burning and their servants(I think) told them to escape. Rebecca and her mother manage to escape, that is until her mother went in search of food for her daughter. She told Rebecca to wait for her alone for a while and not to move. Soldier-san return with her mother dead in his arms and apologies to Rebecca for not being able to protect her mother. But she manage to bring bread and meat for Rebecca to eat. She was about to start wailing but Soldier-san cover her mouth to save her from the soldiers that killed her mother. He explain what was going and what the new king was doing to eliminate them because they are important people from the former regime. And told Rebecca that he'll protect her even if he died until she found her happiness. Soldier-san rented a house for Rebecca and told her that they have to obey the toy law that they had. He also told her that she when she went to bed he was going to find a toy house, but will be there when she woke up and a petal will let Rebecca know that he was there. He saved from two men that kidnap her to sell her off since she was an orphan, because of that they had to leave. Rebecca was taught by Soldier-san how to fight to protect herself if he wasn't there. As soon as she reached the ring the audience started booing her, the reason that they hate her was because her grandfather used to be the king. That's where the chapter ends.

Heart no kuni no Alice: Wonderful Wonder World

alice in the country of hearts
I should really finish my entries on the chapters of One Piece and post them.
I decided to watch Heart no kuni no Alice: Wonderful Wonder World a few days ago. I really should have read the manga first because I kept getting confused on all the jumping around.

Characters
Alice Liddel - She lives in the Hatter Mansion, it was never mention why she living with Blood, she is staying there until she can get back home.

Lorina Liddel - Alice's older sister and the one Alice's boyfriend left her for.

Peter White - Looks like a human but with white ears and claims to be in love with Alice. Takes Alice against her will to the country of Hearts through a rabbit hole.

Blood Dupre(aka Mad hatter)- The leader of the Hatters and looks like Alice's ex-boyfriend. Part of the Mafia and the boss.

Vivaldi(aka Queen of Hearts)- Is secretly the older sister of Blood

Boris Airay(aka Cheshire Cat)- lives in the amusement park

Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum- are the young gatekeepers of the Hatters Mansion.

Elliot March - ( the hare) lives in the Hatter Mansion

All the characters in the country of  Hearts are faceless(the mouth is the only thing seen) except the main and supporting characters and their hearts are clocks.  Alice is the only one with a heart.

I liked how the opening of the movie started, I thought it was cute. It begins with Alice, Tweedle Dee, and Tweedle Dum running away from faceless by going up the stairs(in a couple of jumps it is revealed that the twins did something bad, it was never explain what they did. The twins were suppose to escort Alice to the ball). It quickly jumps to Peter White explaining something about a rule being broken that every player has to follow, even if you are not playing. That happen to be a dream and she wakes up to see her older sister, Lorina with her in the garden. Alice mention to Lorina that she had a weird dream about a game, when Lorina told her that Alice should have mention that she wanted to play a game so that Lorina could bring the cards. Then again it jumps to Alice and the twins running away from the faceless and somehow end up outside. They get surrounded by the faceless and once again are running up the stairs and fighting as they went. When they reach a dead-end the twins get older and taking Alice as they jump off. Then it changes to Alice screaming as she falling down the rabbit hole with Peter White, he kisses her to give her the potion and claims to love her. There was too much jumping around that sometimes I had no idea what was going on. Overall the movie would of have been better if there was less jumping around.

Sailor Moon - Kodasnsha translation

Sailor Moon Volume 1

I recently bought the Sailor Moon manga box set published by Kodansha. I don't have the first volume of Sailor Moon Pocket Mixx (Tokyo Pop) to compare. I came across one word, erred, I was assuming when I read the sentence that it meant mistake, so I had to look it up just to make sure. The definition was to make an error or a mistake. What I like about the manga is that the beginning three pages(two-sided) were colored.   I also like that they used the original names not Bunny but Usagi.

Sailor Moon Volume 1 color pageOne of the pages in color and glossy feel

Each volume cover features one of the scout, volume 1 has Sailor Moon, volume 2 has Sailor Mercury, volume 3 has Sailor Mars, and etc. The back cover has a quarter moon and one of the scouts in chibi form, it also doesn't have a summary. Comparing the two manga, one is bigger and the format is Japanese reading style(right to left).

Sailor Moon volume 2Volume 2: Left side Kodansha translation. Right side Pocket Mixx

The Kodansha one starts with Usagi finding the true identity of Tuxedo Mask while Pocket Mixx starts with Sailor Moon being told by Luna that she is the leader of the scouts. Kodansha ends with Mamo-chan brained washed by Princess Beryl. The Pocket Mixx ends with Luna telling the Sailor Scouts about heading to the moon.

I just saw three changes in that page; The border, Tuxedo Mask blushing, and the Japanese sound effect(with the English translation). There are also more changes, like a small change on the style of the outfit that Usagi is wearing when Luna told the Scouts that they were going to the moon. There a lot more changes to compare between the two translation and it will take too long to do that.
