I read the manga a while back and I read in a day. I didn't like it very much but it kinda pulls you in until you finished and I was curious what was going to happen to the town.
The main characters are Shuichi Saito and Kirie Goshima. According to Saito the town is cursed by a pattern, uzamuki. People were dying in a ways that involve a spiral, like Saito's father got obsessed by spirals. So everything he owns was a spiral. Once the father died, the events started unraveling to the point Saito wanted to get out of town and go to the city with Goshima, who decline. She should've left when she had the chance. The rest would be a spoiler so I won't say more.
I give the series a 5 out of 10
The end was not what I expected at all and kinda disappointing.

I forgot to mention, I read in 1 day because it was awkward, but for some reason I was absorbed and wanted to finish it right away. So I have a love/hate relationship with the series.
